What is frederic bastiat?

Frederic Bastiat was a French economist, politician, and journalist who lived from 1801 to 1850. He is best known for his work in the field of political and economic philosophy, particularly his defence of free markets and individual liberty. Bastiat was a staunch opponent of government intervention in the economy and argued that government intervention only served to harm economic growth and reduce individual freedom. He wrote several influential essays on economics and politics, such as "The Law," "That Which is Seen and That Which is Not Seen," and "What is Money?" Bastiat's work influenced many classical liberal economists of the 19th century, such as Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich Hayek, and continues to be studied and debated by scholars today.
